THE SNIPER
What is in the mind of men who want to maim and kill,
It seems that causing grief and pain is their will,
A sniper hiding cowardly somewhere to shoot at anyone,
No rhyme or reason for the act, no care for what is done.
Do they have a twisted mind, or fighting for a cause,
Thinking they chose the right may never pause
To think that it is much evil they are doing,
As some hidden force their cruel plan pursuing.
It really does not matter, each deed is now done,
To the sniper some great battle is won
By killing innocent children, happy passers by,
Maybe thinking to himself how very good am I.
Why cant we live in peace, try and understand
That we are all Gods children living in a free land.
Live and let live, and love a little as well,
Make the world a better place wherein to dwell.
