LITTLE SIDE ROADS
Just two tire tracks show the way
Along the road where I stray,
I long to go and find out whats there
So now my imaginings I will share.
A lonely cottage with a garden fair,
Tended by a loving couple out there,
Home grown food most of the year round,
Where love, beauty and harmony abound.
Or a fishing hole known to only a few,
Where limits are caught in a minute or two
From a rocky ledge over pristine lake,
Only nature and the line any noise make.
Yet it may go ever winding ever on,
Showing beauty, your admiration won,
Picturesque scene beyond compare,
Wish we had time to wander down there.
It could be something quiet mundane,
Access to a garbage dump to gain,
But there many a hungry bear to see,
And northern raven guarding their teritory.
