SOUNDS
Did you hear the train whistle in the night?
That haunting call, yet there is no fright,
It is almost comforting as it sounds so clear
And you wonder if it is far away or near.
Did you hear the wolf howl carried on the breeze?
To some that sound makes their blood freeze,
But there is solace in that call, friends gathering
On a rock near a lake for each other longing.
Did you hear the bus rumble into the bus depot?
Maybe some one homeward bound wants to go.
Imagine what that sound will mean to a loved one,
When they meet again and the long journey is done.
