        GARAGE SALES
Saturday morning there’s a fun thing to do,
To go out garage sale’ing, I like it don’t you?
Sometimes there’s bargains just sitting there
Waiting for you to take home with care.

Today was a treasure hunt with many a find,
All much too good a deal to leave behind,
But for only fifty cents the prize of the day,
A seatless rocking chair came our way.

We measured and made a strong plywood seat,
Found some padding and velvet, now you meet
A really lovely chair that looks quite expensive,
And for fifty cents who could be apprehensive?

As we sit and rock too and fro in our chair,
I’ll be glad that I just happened to be there
As the garage sale person was putting it out
And was glad to get rid of it without a doubt.
