REACH OUT IN KINDNESS

When you each out in kindness many people are blest,
The receiver and more so, yourself, and all the rest
Who may witness that kindly deed shown to another,
They may want to show love to a lost sister or brother.

For kindness is never lost however small the act may be,
A few coins placed in a hungry, hand not seen by anybody,
May give that person a ray hope, then have a better day,
Enough for a quick bite to eat, be helped them on their way.

Yet if you reach out in anger and hate shines hard in your eye,
What effect will it have on a person, yourself, and passers by
When they hear anger screaming out of control, coming from you?
It will fill each person with sorrow and hurt most of the day through.

So reach out in kindness, reach out in love and try and care
For others all around you, don’t have everyone look up and stare
At a raging fiend in a human form, only wanting to cause pain,
Just give a smile of kindness, and you’ll be normal once again.
