THE MESSY ENGLISH LANGUAGE
I want to present to you at this present time,
I hope you don’t object to this object of mine,
As I stress a point about English, it gives me stress
I may shed a tear or even worse, tear her new dress.

I noticed I lost the bow on the flowers as I did bow,
As I did wind my way the wind hard did really blow,
Flowers without a bow with a graceful bow so low,
Could present a problem as this present I did let go.

Would she desert me? Who will share the dessert with me?
We were becoming so close, did I close her out, set her free?
She has sewed her wedding dress, have I sowed misery?
Is our love now invalid? And me a sad invalid be?

Come English language, change, for I do flounder
My heart becomes number as I think of the number
Of words that intimate something intimate to a friend,
It could mean a row of rows, and a mean, sad end.
