NOT FOR LONG

Whatever happens, my hearts cannot be sad for long,
For I see a smiling face and hear a cheerful song,
However dark the path, however steep the way,
At sometime there’ll be a silver lining some better day.
It will not matter what happens, some good will come,
We may not see it till our life on earth is nearly done,
Try to be a ray of sunshine, so people can always say
“That person over there can brighten up the darkest day”.
Try to be a ray of sunshine, try to be a shining star,
It will make you feel better, show others you care.
Carry a smile even with a broken and aching heart,
It will help others heal as you do your little part.
Be a Pollyanna and you will not be sad for long,
If you are that smiling face, the one to sing the song.
