PASSING TIME

Time travels on, hour by hour, day by day,
No one can stop it or turn it away.
You look forward to something, then in a flash
It is all over and you fall with a crash.
Time rushes by fast when things are all fine,
Yet drags it’s feet when the path’s hard to climb.
Yet time is a great teacher as we earn
More understanding, more knowledge we learn.
Use time wisely, make it work hard for you,
Don’t waste or squander time by what you do.
At day’s end can we count the good that’s done,
Or will it be wasted, good time just gone?
We cannot stop the passing of our time,
How we use it, that choice is your’s and mine.
