WHAT HAS MAN DONE?
What has man done to make the earth moan
And scream out in pain?
What tortuous methods brought forth
The ore for gain?
Waste baron land! Hurting, dying plants!
Foul water smells
Where there had been green forests, flowers
And pure water wells.
There was a time when man and nature
Shared the land.
Now nature is often forgotten, neglected
By mans greedy hand.
Stop! Ruthless, thoughtless, greedy man
Before time runs out,
For we need the balance of nature pure
To stop the rout.
A vicious cycle will begin and never end,
Supposed caretaker,
This world given to us to care for
By our maker.
Stop now and mend and heal the errors
While we can.
Please take care of this wonderful world,
Be thoughtful, man.
