THE MOON IN SPRING

Have you ever seen the moon when it's full
Sail across the sky steered by unseen hands?
And seen the clouds silver tinted from it's glow,
That it causes shadows on the earth far below.

Just before the start of spring when everything seems drab
The moon rises over the eastern ridge with a brighter eye.
She seems to brighten up each night, till its almost like day
And wanders like some stately ship through the milky way.

Do we ever have the time to look up at the nightly sky
To see the moon arise? And take her nightly ride above
Across the open sky. There is no nightly sight so fair
When moon be full, stars bright, maybe God is there.

So stop for one brief moment on some clear spring night,
And watch the silver moon arise, and sail in pure delight
Across her velvet blue domain, and see the stars so bright
Sparkle and glitter far above, to give pleasure to our sight.
