SILENT BEAUTY.

The air was cool, fresh and crisp, no wind blew that night.
The full moon shone with a brightness never seen before.
It cast upon the weary world some special etherial light
That will be long remembered by those who were abroad.

The lake was like a mirror of the purest sheen, for the moon
To see her wonderful and radiant face reflected within.
No ripple marred the sight, no sound was heard, not even the loon,
He too was awed to silence by the scene before us shown.

There were no clouds to bar her way as she sailed through her domain,
Silently she gave to us a view of beauty rarely seen by human eye.
As we soaked in the sight before us, we felt no earthly burden or pain,
But were swept into a sweeter, kinder world far beyond our own.

So if you come to this part of the world, come when the moon is full,
Come on a cloudless night, come when the air is cool and clear,
Come when the moon cast shadows and night is not all dull,
Come when silence engulfs you and even the wind is still.
