NORTHERN LIGHTS

Where the sky at night is not paled
By mans created light and stars
And moon there true glory show,
Another beauty the North hailed
For its own, the northern lights.
Those who dwell in southern realms
Cannot comprehend the sights
That dance across the darkened
Sky, It weaves and sways bewitchingly
Colours that in day are not seen.
Multi coloured scarf floating over head
Mixing in its weave, blue, gold and green
Both pale and rich. So come in fall
Or winter, when the sky is black
And suddenly, she will cast her nightly pall
And dazzle us with the dance of colours
Across the expanse of sky, cold does
Not matter as you stand and gaze
At the vista. Beauty to savour all your days.
