NATURE SPEAKS
When walking have you ever heard the whispering of the trees
As they seem to chat together in the cool of the evening breeze,
Or listened to a stream as it laughs aloud while skipping along,
That boisterous water has its own sweet melodious happy song.
When strolling have you ever heard the birds call across the meadow
Just before the sun goes down and everything lengthens its shadow
Or heard the gentle splashing of the lake as it caresses the shore
With many quiet little love sighs as if healing some great sore.
Then there is the patter of summer rain on thirsty flowers,
It seems like many conversations with birds in lofty bowers,
Nature is full of different voices speaking all around
And in each loving heart a true interpreter is found.
