More poems about Winter

GLIMPSE
I saw a glimpse of heaven
in the rising sun,
A gift given freely to me
as a new day begun.
The radiant orb with it’s
may colours all aglow
Changed the face of the cold,
white sparkling snow.
The lake turned from gray to
gold, red and pink,
But, the snow filled me with joy
as of heaven I did think.
No words could paint those shades
sparkling in the sun,
I hope it will happen again when
this day is done.
More snow is falling, gentle as
mother’s loving kiss,
Hardly noticed by those around
who want less of this,
But glimpsing at the sunrise this day
winter is not so bad,
Infact it brought me closer to God
for that I am very glad.
