CLOSE BY
Sometimes it seems that heaven is close by,
Not some vague image above the blue sky,
Like a touch of an angel with gentle hand
When everywhere is fair across our land.

Dew on the flowers sparkle in the morning suns,
Ray, shine vivid colours as a new day is begun,
Long weeping willow leaves sway in the breeze,
Sounding like the call of distant far off seas.

The sweet laughter of children as they play,
Having a home to go to at the end of the day,
The sun giving us her gift of heat and light,
Then the peace and serenity of a starlit night.

Yes, heaven seems as though it is close by,
And God loves His children and gives a supply
Of natures great gifts in abundance for us to see,
We should always give thanks on bended knee.
