More poems about Winter

MORE BLUE
More skies of bright vivid blue,
Sun shining another cold day through,
North wind cutting like a knife,
Part of the north’s winter life.
Snow crisp clean and white,
Such a spectacular sight.
Frosted trees everywhere seen
All dressed like a fairy queen.
Muffled figures scuffle about
Trying to keep cold winter out,
Huddled bodies waiting for a bus
Stand together in a silence hush.
Lights reflected on the white snow
As short day begins to go.
A sight to our tired eyes does show,
Maybe cheer us so we smile,
So enjoy winter for a little while.
Winter the lovely, cold the cruel,
Do not moan through all her long rule.
