        DIFFERENT SOUNDS
When you live in a big city the sounds you hear
Are noisy sometimes, not noticing nature is near
With the hustle and bustle and rushing around,
Very few stop to hear natures sweetest sounds.

In the city the sparrow still chirrup in the trees,
The wind makes leaves rustle, kissed by the breeze,
The waves on the lake make a peaceful lapping sound,
The lovely song birds voices are everywhere around.

The mourning doves coo and the herring gulls screech,
Sometimes these sounds of nature deaf ears can reach,
Yet in the city there is one sound that is never heard,
Sweeter than the lake or the song of nay small bird.

It is the sound of silence, when even all nature is still,
The sun has set and sound bends to night’s strong will,
The eagle sails on silent wing, across the darkening sky,
Find a place where peace and silence doesn’t pass you by.
