        GLORIOUS SUMMER DAYS
When you awake you feel it’s going to be a perfect day,
With a bright blue sky, nice warm weather on the way,
A wafting gentle breeze and no hot sticky humidity,
A glorious day, a Saturday when most folks are free.

The sun shines down gently, wearing her sweetest smile,
You could go out and love to walk for many a long mile,
A day we think should stay longer than it’s allotted time,
The breeze wafts the fragrance of flowers, mint and thyme.

I wish I could watch the day go past, be as lazy as can be,
But it’s a wonderful day to work in, all will surely agree,
Listen to those birds and the hundred songs they all sing,
Oh, stay long day, so more joy and blessings you can bring.

I do not want to see the sun set on this glorious day,
I do not want the cool night shadows to come my way,
Nature must follow her course, but promise before you go
To send another day like this, to have a wonderful tomorrow.
