QUIET OF THE NIGHT
The quiet of the night after a busy day
Soothes troubled minds calms away
All the worries that come to chide
And in night’s blanket go and hide.

The stars tell of silent rest to all
And we are healed by night’s pall
Some secret balm hidden in night
Making the next day be all right.

The moon rides so noiselessly
You may miss her sailing free
Across the subdued hushed sky
As she smiles as she floats by.

The silence of sleep and of night
Make the next day good and bright
Let no fear disturb much needed rest
For all rest in silence be at it’s best.
