SONNET 80 END OF THE DAY
See, now the rain is coming to an end,
Combined with the dying of light of day,
I can see rays break through in such a way,
That special brightness eventide does send.
After a dark day the sun will descend
In glory, I wish those colours could just stay
And shine across the cloudy sky and play,
No artist could catch those pure shades that bend
And twist among the clouds that now ascend,
Showing us Gods handiwork on display.
To add to this glory, another array
Of beauty, a rainbow to close the day.
After a long day of clouds and of rain
Sun showed her face in short glory to reign.
