SAPPHIRE LAKES
Sapphire lakes embedded in emerald green
Under a blue cloudless canopy are seen
As we wend our way along a twisting way
Cut through thick forests, it took may day.
Areas where the trees grow rich and well,
Where many birds and wild creatures dwell,
Others spring up new where forest fires killed
Parent trees, now new growth earth does yeild.
There are places where you slow down to gaze,
A spot so beautiful you want to shout Gods praise,
Where trees, lakes and fast rivers all blend
In a beauty that you do not wish to end.
Travel the roads of the far north land,
Keep a camera and note book close at hand,
Then capture in words and picture beauty seen,
To help you remember all the places youve been.
