OMINOUS CLOUDS
Ominous clouds a sign of one of two things,
More snow is coming or a sign of spring’s
First real rainfall to help try and wash away
Old winter and then bring us a warmer day.

They are drawing closer now a dull drear grey,
Maybe they are rain clouds to wash snow away,
Ominous clouds can sometimes be a good thing,
If it’s nice wash-away grime rain it sweetly brings,

Well, it’s almost bedtime and the clouds are still there,
I’ll wait until morning to find out what the clouds bear,
I do hope it’s not more icy cold snow that we will see,
I pray it’s rain and every things cleanly washed will be.

PS when we arrived home we heard there is a winter storm warning out.
