A WINTERS NIGHT DELIGHT
Wrap up warm and climb in the car,
In a small place you need not go far,
Just drive away from the bright lights
Then hope and wait to see such sights.
The dance of the northern lights so bright,
A vision of beauty and pure sheer delight,
They meander and weave, twist and sway,
You watch in wonder and want to stay.
How many colours are showing tonight?
Are the greens or the blues more bright?
Is that a hint of pale pink that I now see
As I gaze or awe at this spectacular beauty.
Look, they are swooping down to embrace me!
My up-stretched arms are bathed in their beauty.
In winter I love to dance with the northern lights
That add a special wonder to life of pure delight.
