I AM PART OF NATURE
I can gaze up and soar with the mighty eagle in flight,
Stretch heavenward like the trees to reach a great height,
Feel the beating heart of the deer as he runs through the grass,
Swim with the fowl and loons, be part of them as they pass,
I feel that the grass and the flowers can clothe me in beauty,
Clear lakes and running rivers, my life blood flowing free,
The sweet spring rain my shower, washing me quite clean.
And the trees in the great forests my kinsmen always been.
All creatures both great and small are a part of my life,
I feel of their hunger, their fear, their pain and their strife,
This wonderful earth is mine to love, care for and to tend,
I will always love God’s great creations to the very end.
