THIS MORNING WAS DIFFERENT
Last night the moon sailed unchallenged ,
No clouds buffeted her, her face changed
From the pale of the night before to rich gold,
Last night she rose all round, so large to behold.

We saw her dim the stars, lighten the dark sky,
Watched her rise gracefully, many a passerby
Was awed by her beauty as she moved with grace and stealth,
The moon in fullness last night gave me much wealth.

This morning was different than yesterday,
There were no clouds to mar the suns way,
She came slow and graceful into this world,
Spreading precious light before her beauty unfurled.

A small lake sparkled with gold, blue and red,
Lots of water fowl were waiting to be fed
By the warmth of the sun when she showed her face,
Then they would continue to fly in formation and grace.
