PUZZLED ABOUT THE WEATHER
This year winter started in November with a nasty storm,
Tucked in doors much too early to stay nice and warm,
Still threatening to snow as April shows her face,
When the flowers should start showing in full grace.
Now because we here have had a long cold spell,
With cold blowing winds and all the snow that fell,
Did winter stay less time in the southern hemisphere?
About this weather situation I am not very clear.
I know that winter and summer are the other way around,
When they have summer, we have snow on the ground,
But when horrid cold winter ventures into fall and spring,
Does it mean that their weather is doing as different thing?
Yet a friend in New Zealand said she had a frost the other day,
What is the winter doing still hanging round our way?
I know about night and day on the opposite side of the globe,
But this winter in both places thing needs a much deeper probe.
So if anyone has the answer and can set me thinking straight,
I will not wander far, by the computer and phone Ill wait,
To see if anyone has the answer to this great puzzle of mine
As I watch the small snowflakes fall as I sit and whine.
