STOP AND THINK
We should stop and think what we throw away,
I dont mean recycling but that is good in a way,
But throwing away things that can not be retrieved,
Like words spoken or precious time by us received.
We throw out words every time we speak aloud,
Are we ashamed of what we say, our heads bowed?
For if they are cruel words, or harmful in any way,
Then we have thrown away words and time that day.
They cannot be retrieved, recycled, or taken back,
Even saying sorry all the time something does lack,
The best way out that I can see is not waste words at all,
Bite your tongue, count to ten, cruel words you cant recall,
Always use precious time wisely, for as we already know
Time presses ever onward, so love and wisdom always show.
