        A THANK-YOU PIE
I need to say thank-you, I really must
To people who are the upper crust,
Kind and so helpful on moving day
I’ll make a pie in a very special way

To show appreciation I made this pie
Please accept it with a happy sigh,
You gave of yourself willingly
To help us so very unstintingly.

This poem is short like my pastry
A pie filled with sweet hospitality,
May I be there for you in your need,
‘Til then on this thank-you pie feed.
