LOVE TO LEARN
I love to find out something that I did not know before,
It may be very big and important or a little trivia more,
It would be good if I could learn something new each day,
Some other truth revealed as I walk along lifes busy way.
I like to know how things work, what makes them tick,
Curious about all nature, how concrete make bricks stick.
I have an inquiring mind and always did as a small child,
Why, how, where, when, what and who, knowledge piled
As I worried folks asked by asking questions often each day
Until my parents quite distraught sometimes sent me away.
How much weight does it take for the roller to flatten the tar?
How long will tadpoles live, will they grow in a small jam jar?
What makes ducks and geese fly and yet hens flap around?
Even when very scared they cant take off, stay on the ground.
How does a jumbo jet weighing many tons stay up in the air?
I can understand thrust for take off but not just stay up there.
Who unscambles the signals that come all sorted on the TV
How on earth do they fly from hundreds of mile away to me?
My list could go on about the things Id like to learn about
But there is one thing Ive learned which I have no doubt,
That Jesus is my Saviour and Redeemer, Son of God above,
That He suffered and died for me and is full of pure love.
