WASTING TIME
We would never throw away our money,
Most of us pick up a dime off the ground,
We would not toss about valuable jewellery,
But when not worn keep it safe and sound.

Yet what do we do with the gift of time?
Do we waste and so throw the gift away?
Each moment only comes once that is mine
To do what I like with all through the day.

The value of time is so priceless to us all,
Yet how many of us misuse this gift that is free,
I am sure that we will be all held accountable
For all the valuable time wasted by you and me.

As we get older time seems to go by so fast,
We then may regret the time we wasted so,
But it’s never too late to stop, although the past
We can’t change, we can improve and onward go.

So find time to do wholesome things each day,
Grow in wisdom, try to overcome a fault or two,
Value each moment and always find time to pray,
Don’t sit and waste time by wondering what to do.
Go out and do it.
