IMPROVEMENT
If we do not improve in some way during each day,
The fact is that we retrogress, still we cannot stay,
Growing spiritually strong, find good things to learn
Will build a soul’s worth and to God’s heaven return,

Find some spark of knowledge, find a good book to read,
Sometime through the day cheer a friend, do a good deed,
Seek out a stranger and then work to call him friend,
There should be some improvement at the day’s end.

We may never know when our final call will come,
Will we have accomplished what should be done?
Live this day as though there will no tomorrow be,
Improve yourself each moment now ready for eternity.
