MIGHT HAVE BEEN’S
I wonder why sometimes to get to wondering
about the might have been’s,
Things that would have happened to me, life’s
different scenes,
Although I am more than happy and am blessed
in so many ways,
Sometimes I do wonder what would have happened
in my early days.
If I had been born rich and famous never known
want or any worry,
I think I may have been a spoilt child, never
learned to say sorry,
Maybe been selfish and unkind, not the person
I’d really want to be,
So I’m glad the Lord knows what I need to
make a better me,
For riches I think would spoil me in my weak
and human state,
For humble rich people are so very special they
are truly great.
I don’t think I would strive true humility to find
if I lots of wealth.
So I thank God for His love and mercy and my
own and families health.
I’ll not worry about the might-have-been’s
but strive every day
To be worthy of all the riches that he sends
in His own way.
