CELEBRATION

There are many things to celebrate every day we live,
When we awake every morning we have a day to give
To others, or some good cause, and so give to the Lord,
To repay all the goodness Our God does afford.

The goodness of others that seem to give every day,
Spreading a beam of light as they go on their way,
A ray of pleasant sunshine, a radiant glow of hope,
Helping folks who are down to go ahead and cope.

There is giving and goodness in most people I know,
That is worth celebrating as through this life I go,
There are those who care for a stranger with a smile,
Even walk and talk with them along a lonely mile.

Celebrate the beauty of the fours seasons every year,
Listen for the robins song that we all long to hear,
Feel the gentle rain on your face, then a rainbow see,
Find a gentle snowdrop, on a day that is dull and dreary.

Celebrate life, the fact that we can breath, walk and run,
Celebrate that sweet spring or summer has just begun,
Celebrate the love that from heaven to us does flow
And radiate the love of God, wherever you may go.

Even if when we suffer or have a sad or broken heart,
There are many around us who will help us do our part,
So celebrate compassion shown by your fellow man,
Then smile and know it is part of Heavenly Father’s plan.
