Welcome Home
Welcome home dear friends, you have served so well,
We are sure there are many happy stories you can tell
As you gather loved ones around who have missed you so,
It was kind of selfish of us not to want to let you go.

Home to friends and loved ones, home to challenges anew,
Home to find many new and happy things for you to do,
We wish we could be there to be with you and see tears flow,
For they must have really missed you, for they love you so.

Look at that big table laden with all your favorite food,
See those happy smiling faces that all look so good,
The younger ones may have grown at least an inch or two,
Two birthdays maybe passed without them even seeing you.

Welcome home you temple friends that are ours,
May you live in joy and peace through tranquil hours,
With your loved ones around you bringing tears to your eyes,
You served well, but are missed here, can you hear our sighs?

One day we will meet again, in this life or when life is done,
And think of the rejoicing when that great day will come,
To feel the hugs and handshakes, as memories fill each heart,
Then we will all be home together, and never again to part.
