6 Charity enough to see some good in your neighbour.

“Charity never faileth,” so the scriptures wisely tell,
If charity is in us then at the end, all will be well,
So charity enough to see good in our fellow men
May not be quite enough to make it back to heaven.

Charity enough to forgive more than ten thousand times,
Charity to understand when someone whimpers and whines,
Charity enough to see good buried in the worst and cruelest soul,
Charity enough to not to want to hurt, just their virtues to expound,

Charity enough to try to be like Christ in the things we do,
Charity enough to go the extra mile all the day through,
Charity enough to show the way back into the light
When someone you do not know is lost in the night.

It takes a lot of living to gain charity enough before we die
To be worthy of heaven and our celestial home on high,
I know the Lord has charity enough to wait while I try
To gain sufficient charity, So Lord please hear my humble cry
