GARAGE SALES
They are great fun in summer to browse around,
Sometimes theres a treasure or two to be found,
There maybe also home baked goodies on sale,
They usually sell well, a product that does not fail.
But these sales at times can be quite frustrating,
Just have a little smile while I go on to you relating
Something that happened to a friend the other day
As she gave to charity things shed have thrown away.
Her husband had many tools, lots were the same,
They cluttered up the shed, that garage was a pain,
Hubby said he did not mind, hes look around for others,
He even thought that some might be his older brothers.
She dusted and cleaned, theyd not been used in awhile,
Then when ready for pick up there was quite a large pile,
Neat and tidy the shed, in the garage there was now space,
She went around that day with a big smile upon her face.
They went to the sale, she bought some baking and a book,
Then to her horror, at her heavy laden husband she did look,
Hed bought most of the tools back, a bargain and he thought,
Much better than his old ones, Oh, all that work for naught.
