        START SOMEWHERE
Most of us would like to write a little about ourselves
All what we did, then placed on the family bookshelves,
But we think we are too busy it take a lot of time to do,
Well let me give hints to help the work to get through.

Always carry a note pad everywhere you go, near or far,
Going to the doctor’s office, on a bus or driving the car,
And any time you have to wait make notes of things
You remember, write it down and see the joy it brings.

Write on blank paper years of your childhood days.
The year you had your first bike, were you in any plays?
What year was that great teacher, or best friend went away?
The very first dress/suit you remember maybe for Easter day.

You will be surprised at what you remember as you write,
Ask friends and relatives if you forget or get in the plight,
But once you get started don’t give up, keeping going on
When the information is accumulated the battles nearly won.

Everyone will want to help, as the days go quickly by
Bringing back the memories with a sad or happy sigh,
Go out and buy some big note books, start right away,
For none of us know how long on earth we have to stay.
