HOME SWEET HOME
Home is where the heart is, we are told,
It can be big and new, or tiny and old,
Anywhere in this world where we live
Where theres little take, but plenty of give.
Laughter around the table always rings true,
Love that will last longer than this life through,
A bond born from clinging together as family
Planting seeds of love that will last for eternity.
Rich folks, poor folks, and those all in between,
Can have a home sweet home, not just a dream
But reality, all it takes is a life time of pure love,
Forgiving hearts, and a dream of a home above.
The thought of home sweet home, when far away
Can brighten up the most miserable, upsetting day,
Close your eyes and see the kitchen table and chairs,
Then watch the family remember you in their prayers.
You almost hear the words fall from each loving heart,
You can see the space left at your spot specially set apart
Waiting for you to return, to welcoming opening arms
Home sweet home where the heart is truly, sweetly calms.
Home is where the heart is, a loving, kindly place,
A place where no one is mocked, see each happy face
Glowing in a way that just simply says home sweet home,
A guiding light to those who loved, remembered as they roam
