HARMONY
What comes into heart and mind when harmony we hear
The sound of sweet music that is pleasing to the ear?
Some symphonic melody that soothes your pain away,
Maybe voices singing some hymn at the end of the day.

Harmony is comforting, healing, restful peace fills the heart,
A discordant note would spoil the mood, and so impart
A different feeling, and for awhile that peace is gone,
The music tells a different tale than the one begun.

Now harmony in the home works in the same way,
If we stop and think before we speak every day,
We can avoid discordant sounds, peace will reign
If are kind in word and deed, harmony will remain.

No more joyful place can be found than a home with harmony,
A home with sweet sounding voices, full of love and jollity,
Where no evil words are uttered and tones are gentle and sweet,
Where family and friends come and always wants to meet.

If home is like a melody that is played in notes sublime,
Where love is always spoken and there is a joy divine,
Don’t be the one to spoil it, soak in the true harmony
And that sweet sound of kindness will last through eternity.
