TRY TO SMILE
When one is feeling ill, rather sick and in some pain
That’s when, if you let her, Miss Depression comes again,
Just give her a sweet smile and bid her a fond farewell,
Then for a moment or two on ones blessings try and dwell.

If the hurt and pain is hard and tries to get you down,
Try and wear a happy smile instead of a sad frown,
It is surprising how much better a smile makes you feel,
For that smile on your face can start to help you heal.

It’s not easy to try and smile, shun depression away,
Never forget how many loving prayers come your way,
You are not alone, many care much that you suffer,
Many others hurt and passed away, many did recover.

Sometimes the refiners fire is really hard to bare,
Yet always remember the Master has been there,
So hold up your head, try and smile and kindly say,
“I really could feel a lot worse on a day like today.”
