CANS OF SUCCESS
It’s like going to the grocery store to shop once a week,
If it is success and self reliance that you need to seek,
Just stop and think about it for a little while,
Then gather some cans with a confident smile.
I can complete each task that I set myself each day,
I can be good and kind as I travel along life’s way,
I can keep cool and my temper always be in control,
The cannot’s I will never store in my striving soul.
I can read my scriptures, pray every morning and night,
I can find in a harsh life, sweet joy and pure delight,
I can see a rainbow as the clouds of trouble roll by,
Never again will a cannot cause me to moan and sigh.
I can to anything good with the Lord close by my side,
I can be a true follower of my Master if I put away pride,
I’ll store within my heart and mind cans for a rainy day,
Just in case a cannot wants to sneak in, I’ll not let it stay.
