POLLYANNA PILLS
Sometimes we need to pop a positive Pollyanna pill.
At times when slaps in the face you have had your fill,
You can buy pills for headaches for when you have the flu,
Yet when needing a Pollyanna pill what on earth can you do?

I gave this problem a good deal of thought just earlier today,
And the answer came to me, it was clear in every way,
You carry your Pollyanna pills in your heart, there when needed
At times when you have tried your best, but have not succeeded.

Just search your inner self, and have a hunt around inside,
Pollyanna pills don’t usually want to go away and hide,
Everyone has them somewhere within each sad heart,
They are just a happy thought away, so do your part.

Find a hidden smile, find some forgotten half hidden blessing,
And soon the sun will shine again, and you true joy confessing,
As you realize all the good things that constantly come you way,
However often you are pushed down, you can have a good day.
