HOLD HIGH THE TORCH
The torch you have with it’s flame burning bright,
Can lead many folks from the darkness into light,
When dear sisters you aim to stand in holy places
And let your light shine showing radiant bright faces.
Daughters of heavenly parents sent now here below,
Now leading others with your light the way to go.

Never let that clear light fade, or ever grow dim,
Keep the light of Jesus always shining within,
Be a good example to all those each day you meet,
Show the great joy of worshipping at Jesus’ feet,
Do not be ashamed of the great torch that you hold,
Just shine young sisters, always be brave and bold.

We see the Olympic flame held high and never dying,
Each athlete doing their best, continually striving
For perfection in each one’s chosen special field.
To hurt or great pain they will never think to yield,
Gold medals of just earthly value to try and gain,
To try, sometimes to fall, but up to try once again.

Now your torch flame should be even brighter still,
Strive harder to shine and do Heavenly Father’s will,
Come let your bright torch lead you holy places,
Then one day to stand, having covered your paces
Through life, to God’s temple and enter joyfully in,
So strive hard every day sisters to stay free from sin.
