MEETING WITH THE MISSIONARIES
Meeting with all the missionaries to have lots of fun,
A multi zone conference, many of us did come,
A celebration of Christmas, we gathered in harmony,
The worries of missionary work for today we were free,
Tall and short, the young ones and the not so young,
Joining together in one big jovial happy throng.
Some from just around the corner, some driving many miles,
No one really cared as they shared the joys and smiles,
Playing funny games and watching a skit or two,
A very good meal, then a REAL movie to view.
There we were all together, one truly happy band,
It was worth a seven hour drive from the northland.
When is the next one President? please tell us do,
Where will it be? How far we go is really up to you,
But just meeting altogether and having lots of fun
Did us the world of good as our mission we begun.
Minus twenty five, driving through lots of swirling snow,
Wondering what to expect as bravely we did go.
So thank you for the effort to make the day worthwhile,
When we are cold and lonely, we’ll remember and smile.
