I TOLD YOU SO
If the words ‘I told you so,’ could bring the world peace,
Within a few hours all the cruel fighting would cease,
But we all know these words only bring hurt and pain,
So let us stop and think and not use the words again.

If the words ‘I told you so,’ would bring comfort to a heart,
Help someone feel better, and some great lesson taught,
Then it would be worth saying, but no good does come
From saying those harsh words, it just shows you have won.

If the words ‘I told you so,’ could any good ever do,
I would say the words all the time, everyday through,
If you can show me any good thing that comes at all,
I would shout the words loud so all could hear the call.

But no, there is no good in the words ‘ I told you so,’
It is like hurting someone with another extra blow,
Try and eliminate, ‘I told you so,’ them never speak,
For it only shows a character that is proud and weak.
