LAUGHTER
I wonder what would happen if laughter
Could be bottled and placed in a health store,
Placed there on the shelf as one of the best
Healers of ills that our lives have to endure,
Even if it’s cost was high, we would save
Every penny until we could afford to buy
That very special cure of most illnesses,
We could not let it on that store shelf lie.
Yet laughter we do not have to purchase
It is sitting there in each heart that beats,
Give a little laugh and feel the tension
Leave you, then laugh as problems greets
You on a messy day, and sweet healing
Will begin to take place in a heart of sorrow,
Then the sun will shine brighter and at last
You will want to look forward to tomorrow.
Laughter brings happiness, laughter brings
Joy, laughter sows the seeds of sweet love,
Laughter wipes the tears from weeping eyes,
Laughter brings blessings waiting for us above.
Lighten the heart with laughter, brighten some
Ones day by sharing your laughter and sunshine,
Healing yourself and others along life’s way
With the power of laughter that is yours and mine.
