FEAR
Is fear of any value in our lives each day?
Will it help us be better as we journey on our way?
What attributes of goodness will it place in our heart?
Or is there something lacking as we try and do our part?

If you turn and look your fear right in the face,
And hope in better times, in God’s hands place
That fear, it will begin to fade and it will go away,
For with hope no dark night will come your way.

For even when the shadows fall and darkness all around,
With fear not hiding there only brightness is ever found,
When pain and heartache come your way, fear will flee,
For you’ll know the Lord is on your side and always will be.

At first I thought that cruel fear had no use in life at all,
But when fear starts to creep, we can grow strong and tall
As we gain the strength and hope to push it right away,
Living through the worst of times in hope’s bright ray.
