WAITING
I do not like waiting, not at all,
Waiting for what ere may befall,
I’d rather be busy always doing,
Much better activities pursuing.

Waiting for those medical tests,
That to me is always the worst,
For both results are in your mind,
Oh what will all those tests find.

Your faith may even waver some,
As you wait for results to come,
Trust in the Lord is easy to say
When you only have to wait a day,

But when waiting is weeks on end
And you need on the Lord to depend,
Yet slowly fear creeps into your heart,
Although cheerful, doing your part.

But whatever all the results may show,
There is one thing that I really know,
We have many friends both far and near
Who are so very kind and truly dear.

Prayers offered all over the place,
And notice a tear on a friends face,
A handshake, and a “let me know
If there anything for you I can do.”

Whatever the results may turn out to be,
I know there are friends worthy of eternity,
But I know one day on a mission we’ll go,
That is if the Lord in His wisdom wishes it so.
