ILL AT EASE
Have you ever felt restless and totally ill at ease?
Nothing you think of doing can restlessness appease,
You don’t want to go out, you don’t want to say in,
Nothing on TV and through your book you just skim.

No food wets your appetite, no action brings you peace,
Something is missing, your disappointments increase
For everything you think of to do is not quite right,
If you go to bed now, you won’t sleep through the night.

Not a slow walk around a mall or visit to an old friend
Will cure the feeling that’s driving me clear around the bend,
The things I want to do are too much money or too far away,
Still, at least I am alive and still kicking at the end of the day.
