TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS
Trials and tribulations are stepping stones to heaven,
They are there to make us strong, and in love given
By a loving Father, who wants us to stretch and grow,
To endure well in patience, as on life’s journey we go.

If through life our earthy parents for us did everything,
Did not let us try and fall and so accomplishment bring,
We would never walk, run and play, never learn at school,
Parents know better, they let us struggle to learn each rule.

They lead us by the hand but know when to let us go,
Teach us right from wrong, let us choose so we may grow,
Parents know there is danger, but a diligent watch they keep,
When teaching us to how swim the water has to be deep.

If parents know how to help us learn, grow up to be good,
It stands to reason that our beloved Father in Heaven would,
So He sends us tribulations, to help us grow and be strong,
So when they come your way, sing to God a joyful song.
